Training

Many organizations underestimate the cost of training when considering the purchase or development of a new system. Training is often the largest hidden cost in any project, whether the project involves software, process change, or both.

The user training most organizations settle for today is not effective, is often detrimental to the project, and is more expensive than it should be.

In order to be effective and reach the widest audience, training needs to be targeted at all types of learners. The general method for doing this is to reinforce each topic with demonstrations and exercises when the topic is presented, thereby providing oral, visual, and experiential content within the lesson. The ROPES training methodology has been designed to address these training requirements, and is used (under various names) throughout the world by professional training organizations.
